KMEA College of Arts and Science, Kuzhivelippady,Edathala, Ernakulum District, is a minority higher educational, self-financing institution, affiliated to M. G. University Kottayam, approved by the Govt.of Kerala, owned and managed by KMEA Kochi. The association is a pioneer Educational Agency in the state of Kerala, running a number of outstanding educational institutions in the fields of Arts,Commerce,Science,Engineering and Technology. The KMEA was established in the year of 1957 by the eminent educationalists Late Sri. K.M Seethi Sahib and Late Sri.B. Pokker Sahib. It is a body of a number of outstanding academicians, educationalists and philanthropists, who strive for the educational advancements of the economically and socially backward sections of the society irrespective of caste, creed, religion or gender. As part of the social commitments of the KMEA we offer financial help for deserving students by way of scholarships and fee concessions. The Kerala Muslim Educational Association aims at, promoting good quality education to all the sections of the society, enriching personality development, character formation and communal harmony. KMEA College of Arts and Science and other sister institutions, KMEA Engineering College, KMEA Architecture College,Abdulla Haji Ahammed Sait Memorial KMEA AL-Manar Higher Seconadry School, Tirur Polytechnic etc are the Educational Institutions run under the strict guidance and control of the KMEA Kochi. The educational institutions KMEA College of Arts and Science, KMEA Engineering College and, KMEA Architecture College are situated in 25 Acres of Land at Kuzhivelippady Edathala Gramapanchayath, on a hill top, in a ferocious and serene beauty of of nature, eight kilometers away from the home town Aluva. The unique and ideal atmosphere prevailing in the campus is created upon the strong blend of the dedicated Management, Faculty and Supporting Staff. The KMEA lays on the imparting of educational excellence, upon a strong moral base, with the objectives that the students after completing their educational programs may develop a strong sense of duty and service consciousness in the society.

The college was established in the Academic Year of 2013-14. Presently the college offers four Un Aided Undergraduate Programs (1) B.Com. ( Computer Applications ) Model II, (2) B.Com. ( Finance and Taxation )Model II, (3) B.B.A ( Bachelor of Business Administration ) and (4) B.C.A ( Bachelor of Computer Applications ). We are proposing to commence one batch of M.Com. ( Finance ) P.G program and two more U.G. Programs,B.Com and BA ( Economics ), during the next Academic Year(2017-2018), subject to the approval and sanction from the M.G University .The college enrolls about 260 students to various undergraduate Programs every year. The present total strength of students comes to 620 for the academic year 2016-17 .The college provides socially relevant and holistic education to students, without discriminating anyone on the ground of caste, creed, religion or gender. Along with discharging of curriculum, we are also giving due considerations for developing the co- curricular and extra-curricular talents of our students. A number of clubs, cells, associations and committees are also functioning in this institution, for the purpose of active involvements of the students, under the strict guidance of the competitive faculty members.

KMEA Arts & Science College has got a strong and full-fledged Career Guidance and Placement Unit (CGPU) with a full time Placement Officer,Mr.Mahendra.K.S. MBA. Regular placement oriented training programmes are imparted to all the streams of students from first semester onwards, during their studies .We have a tremendous and appreciable records of placements of students of various categories, absorbing them in many different multinational companies and many other organizations, during the academic years 2013- 14,2014-15,2015-16 and 2016-17.
