KMEA CAS OBC COMMITTEE (2026-2027 )
The Cell for OBC Students in KMEA College of Arts &Science, for the Academic Year (2026-’27) is re-constituted, with the following members. The Members of the Cell is delegated with the duties of protecting the interests of OBC Students of our College, vigilantly.
VISION

To oversee the effective implementation of Policies and Programmes, for Other Backward Community (OBC)students and to Act as a Anchor of strength, by providing timely Counselling and Academic assistances, in order to achieve Equality and Social Justice.
MISSION

To equip tOther Backward Community Students ,for facing the challenges in the Modern Economy and to solve any Grievances and Complaints arising from such students, through the Redressal Mechanism,during the period of their studies with in the Instituition

OBJECTIVES
=============
The cell is engaged to solve the various problems of OBC students. * *The cell will also encourage the students to enroll career orientation program and to empower and equip them with necessary skill to choose a career option.
To educate, enlighten and empower students of OBC categories in the Institution ,to make use of the facilities extended by the Governments and other Agencies for their Educational and Occupational career
ToCollect and disseminate Data regarding the implementation of Government policies, in respect of Scholarships, Admissions, Appointments etc. for various admissions to higher studies and job opportunities.
Activities
To Collect Reports, Orders and Informations from Government of India and University Grants Commission wrt. Education, training and employment of OBC students for evolving new policies.
To circulate the orders and other information issued by Government of India and University Grants Commission among students and Motivate them to make use of the given opportunity
To deal with feed back received from OBC students and render them necessary help in solving their academic problems.
Action Plan for the Academic Year
To Maintain social relationship among students and resolve issues and grievances. Explore redressal provisions for the grievances and counseling for needy OBC students.
To co-ordinate with scholarship Cell to collect information regarding Governments Schemes and disseminate it to students.
To Co-ordinate with other Colleges to collect information regarding Government , UGC proceedings and to circulate the same among OBC students.
To meet the Executive Committee Members periodically to know about the Grievances and Suggestions of OBC students so as to ensure solutions to their issues.
