
Fathima S Farzana is an Assistant Professor of English in the Department of English at KMEA College of Arts and Science. She holds a Master's degree in English Language and Literature from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli and has qualified for the UGC-NET examination. Her postgraduate research was carried out under the guidance of Dr Anu Kuriyakose, in which she examined the possibilities of digital games as postcolonial narratives. Her research interests are interdisciplinary, encompassing Postcolonial Studies, Cultural Studies, Game Studies, Digital Humanities, Literary Theory, and Media Studies. She has actively pursued professional development through workshops and training programmes in language teaching and educational innovation. These include NIRMANA: Improving Your English Accent and Pronunciation, conducted by St. Teresa's College (Autonomous), a Storytelling Workshop facilitated by Dr Vinod Balakrishnan of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, NIT Tiruchirappalli, and Embrace AI: Unleash the Teacher Power, led by Kavitha Krishnakumar, Cambridge CELTA Trainer and English Language Specialist. Beyond academics, she has contributed to various co-curricular and student-development initiatives through her involvement in the Film Club, Music Club, Drama Club, Entrepreneurship Development (ED) Club, and the College Newsletter.
